2011 & 2012 Knocdown/SCM Radio R&B Artist of the Year  Duane Scott hales from the little MS delta town of Clarksdale, MS. This is a city that has had such great star's as Ike Turner, the late greats Sam Cooke, and hip-hop star Nate Dogg, Mega-Star Rick Ross, and Super-Producer Elvis "BlacElvis" Williams pass through its streets. Duane Scott is well on his way to continuing the string of great stars to come from this little town located in the Mississippi Delta. The youngest of two kids, Duane began singing in church at the age of four but today he's using his gift in the R&B world. He has been greatly influenced by artist such as R. Kelly and Musiq Soulchild to name a few.

Once a member of the upstart group "Neutral",  Duane Scott eventually left to pursue his dream on his own. He released his debut Studio CD entitled "New Luv" in the spring of 2004 and received great reviews. The CD consisted of a number of ballards just for the ladies from a male’s point of view, as well as a few up-tempo songs for the fella's. Duane has performed on television shows in the New Orleans area as well as performed on a regular bases in Jackson, MS, Omaha, NE, and other cities. In 2006 he was voted one of Mississippi's Best Kept Secrets.

2010 brought about a change for Duane as he was voted in the top 50 in K97.1 Memphis Next Big Thing Contest. He was also nominated for 2010 Knocdown/SCM Indie R&B Artist of the Year as well as 2011 S.E.A (Southern Entertainment Awards) Indie R&B Artist of the Year. Duane Scott released his sophomore studio CD "Sycamore & Riley"in April of 2011. This CD brought about the phenominal work relationship between Duane and Memphis, TN Super-Producer Johnathan "J Dav" Davenport. The first single from the CD "Luv U My Way" reached all the way up to the #2 spot in the U.K's Breaking Artist Independant Artist Countdown. I Am Entertainment Magazine based out of Atlanta, GA rated this project as the 10th Best Indie Project it reviewed for 2012.

Duane is currently in the studio recording his third studio album which will also be fully produced by Memphis Supa-Producer 'J Dav'. If the success of the first single 'FaceTime' is any indication as to how this CD will be received, Duane Scott is really about to place his stamp on the R&B game in  Memphis.  One thing we can promise is you will not be disappointed. The future is bright and this R&B hearthrob is ready for the light to shine on him.
